the purpose of this site is to share my work with others, and to help create new opportunities as a result of it.
i want to share this work with you, i want to share it with the person leaning over your shoulder, and i want to share it with everyone that my reach can extend to. i’m here to show you what i’ve done for others, so that those who see value in it will consider telling me what i can do for them.
this is as much a business platform as it is a portfolio for me, but there’s one key difference between this site and many others.
that difference being exactly what you see here.
communication.
it’s not that others have a failure to communicate, it’s that we differ in our methods. some don’t care to use much in the way of words, while others speak them as though they were a narrator, but i don’t want to talk at you; i want to talk with you.
that creates the third purpose of this site; identity.
i don’t always like leaving my work to speak for itself, and i like being able to work with people on a personal level. it never seemed right to me that in my previous employ i was not allowed to speak with clients; despite the project’s success resting in my hands, we were strictly forced to liaison.
why is that?
why is the person who is creating the very face of your business, your product, and your marketing denied access from speaking to you directly?
the reason is trust. the person charged with doing the work you’ve payed for is not trusted to speak with you.
though i can respect that; i don’t want it to ever hinder communication again. i want you to trust me.
the difference that i want to offer you is the difference between buying clothes off a rack and having them tailored.
my profession exists to aid your profession; the success i have is dependent on the success i bring others. i want you to trust me to do that, but i don’t expect you to do so easily. that is why i present identity on top of proficiency; so that you can trust me to either be the right man for the job, or to help you find the person who is.
it is always one of my greatest pleasures to share my work with others; regardless of whether we meet on a business or personal level, or if we ever exchange words at all, but i welcome you to not just read my words and see my work, but to communicate yourself as well.
